A $15,000,000 settlement had been reached with Godiva Chocolatier in which a class action lawsuit alleges that Godiva Chocolate Products were advertised as being made in Belgium when they are not exclusively manufactured there. This resulted in a class action settlement that has paid out $15.00 via PayPal, Zelle, and email prepaid mastercard cards as of February 10, 2023.

How Do I Qualify For Payment?
If you purchased any Godiva Chocolate Products from January 31, 2015 through October 26, 2021, in the United States, you may have been a Settlement Class Member. However, the class action is already closed to open claims and has already paid out.“Godiva Chocolate Products” include all chocolate products manufactured and sold by Godiva, or sold under the Godiva brand, which contain chocolate.
Class Members who submitted a timely and valid Claim Form without Proof of Purchase received money in the amounts of up to $15, depending on the number of eligible Godiva Chocolate Products. Class Members who submitted a timely and valid Claim Form, with Proof of Purchase, can recovered up to $25 in cash compensation, depending on the number of eligible Godiva Chocolate Products.
