What Was the Krud Kutter Settlement About?

This was a $1,500,000 false-advertising class action settlement involving certain Krud Kutter cleaning products labeled "Non-Toxic" and "Earth Friendly." The Rust-Oleum Corporation, which makes Krud Kutter, settled allegations that the labeling was misleading because the products may cause harm to humans, animals, or the environment despite those claims. Rust-Oleum agreed to settle; the Court did not decide that Rust-Oleum did anything wrong. The claim deadline was July 7, 2025 and has passed, so this page is now for informational and status purposes only.
