What's the Porsche Sunroof Drain Class Action About?

Porsche has settled a class action lawsuit over allegations that certain Porsche cars may have been equipped with defective sunroof draining systems that resulted in water leaking into the cars' interiors, causing damage and frustration to Porsche drivers.

Which Porsche Cars are Part of the Sunroof Settlement?

The following Porsche vehicles are included in the Porsche sunroof leak class action:

• 2015-2023 model year Cayenne or Macan vehicles
• 2014-2023 model year Panamera vehicles

What is the Total Settlement Amount?

The Porsche class action settlement provides for a warranty extension, reimbursement of certain out-of-pocket expenses for covered repairs, and an annual sunroof drain cleaning program.

How Do I Qualify For a Payout?

To potentially qualify for a payout, you must be a current or past owner or lessee of a 2015-2023 model year Cayenne or Macan vehicle, or a 2014-2023 model year Panamera vehicle, equipped with a sunroof, that was imported by Porsche Cars North America, Inc. for sale or lease by authorized Porsche dealers in the United States.

How Much Can I Get Paid?

The amount of reimbursement depends on the age and mileage of the vehicle at the time of the covered repair.

For vehicles less than 6 years old with less than 80,000 miles, the reimbursement rate is based on the class action coverage percentages agreed to in the Porsche settlement:

Up to 36,000 Miles 36,001 to 50,000 Miles 50,001-72,000 Miles 72,001-80,000 Miles
3 Years or Less 100% 100% 70% 60%
3-4 Years 100% 100% 65% 55%
4-5 Years 80% 70% 60% 50%
5-6 Years 75% 65% 55% 45%

For vehicles older than 6 years or with more than 80,000 miles, PCNA will provide an estimated 35% reimbursement, if the Porsche class action settlement receives final approval.
