It looked at whether children’s fluoride toothpastes and mouthwashes, including products from brands such as Colgate, Crest and Tom’s, were used appropriately by children 10 and under, who are more likely to swallow toothpaste and less able to follow usage directions. No lawsuit, settlement or claim process is open through this page.Dental guidance generally recommends a rice-grain-sized smear of fluoride toothpaste for children under 3 and a pea-sized amount for ages 3 to 6, with an adult supervising brushing. A separate, newly filed case involves children’s fluoride toothpaste marketing: a proposed class action over Orajel Naturals kids’ toothpaste claims the “natural” branding is misleading. It is at the complaint stage, and there is nothing to claim yet.
