A new $287,500 class action lawsuit has been settled over certain eggs sold in the United States. The class action lawsuit alleged that Alderfer Family Farm and Alderfer Poultry Farm falsely advertised certain eggs as being produced by free roaming chickens and hens, allegedly violating New York consumer protection laws. Alderfer denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle.
The total free range eggs calss action settlement fund is $287,500.00.
Anyone in the United States who purchased Alderfer non-organic eggs for personal or household use between December 1, 2020, and the date of the class action court's Final Settlement Approval Order is eligible, except those who already received a full refund or opted out of the settlement.

Class Members can claim $2.00 per carton of eggs, which may increase to $3.00 per carton depending on the total claims submitted. If the total claims exceed $287,500, the payout will be reduced proportionally.
