A $1,612,500 No Proof Class Action Settlement has been settled with Barlean's oil, over allegations that some of its coconut oil products violated California, New York, and federal laws by being falsely advertised as "healthy". Barlean's settled the class action lawsuit to avoid potential costs of further litigation and courts, but has not accepted responsibility or admitted to any wrongdoing on Barlean's part.

How Do I Qualify?

You may qualify for this class action if you purchased certain Barlean's Coconut Oil products for your own personal use, and not for resale in the United States. Proof of purchase is not required for up to 5 of these products. To qualify, the Barlean's coconut oil products must have been purchased anytime between between January 24, 2015 through November 10, 2022.

How Much Will I Get Paid?

The payout for claims made without proof purchase is capped at up to 5 products without proof of purchase between $3.00 and $7.00 per product claimed. If you do have proof of purchase, the amount reimbursed will be based on the evidence provided and the retail value of the products claimed.

Do I Need Proof of Purchase?

No, Barlean's Oil Products class action settlement does not require proof of purchase for claims made of up to 5 products. If you file a valid claim that is on time (by January 19, 2023), and you do not have proof of purchase, the class action will pay for up to 5 products that are covered (see list above for covered products).
