What's The Activision Blizzard Class Action Lawsuit?

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has entered into a $18 settlement with Activision Blizzard that provides monetary relief for eligible claimants and injunctive remedies that Activision Blizzard will implement to prevent and combat gender discrimination, harassment, and related retaliation. This resulted after a two-year investigation in which the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing was involved as well. The California Department of Fair Empoyment and Housing file a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard in July 2021 for a laundry list of gender based employee discrimination and sexual harassment, primarily at the Blizzard Entertainment workplace and ecosystem.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (the “EEOC”) alleged that Activision Blizzard engaged in unlawful employment practices by subjecting certain employees to sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination, or related retaliation in violation of certain civil rights.

Blizzard is famous for massively successful and profitable video game franchises such as Starcraft, Diablo, World of Warcraft, among others.

How Do I Qualify?

If you were employed by Activision Blizzard, Inc., Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., Activision Publishing, Inc., King.com, Inc., or their respective subsidiaries at any time in the United States between September 1, 2016 and March 29, 2022 and believe you were subjected to sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination, or related retaliation during your employment, you may be eligible to receive money from the settlement.

What Can I Get From Activision Lawsuit?

The EEOC will calculate your monetary offer by reviewing your responses in the Claim Form (see link below) and determining whether you were subjected to sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination, and/or related retaliation. The EEOC will take into consideration all information you provide to make this determination. The EEOC will then determine, based on all factors, including the strength of your claims and amount of harm you suffered, how much you should be allocated and offered.

How Do I File a Claim?

To receive a monetary relief from blizzard lawsuit you must submit a claim form online or postmarked for mail by August 13, 2022.

The claim form will require a Claimant ID, which you should receive in a mail notice. If you don't have one you may be able to request one from the Claims Administrator directly (see the claim form website below). You must submit your Claim Form by the deadline, but if you require an extension, please request one from the Claims Administrator, explaining what circumstances necessitate the extension for your filing.
