What is the Babe Lash Class Action Lawsuit About?

A $2.3 Million Class Action Settlement has been reached concerning allegations against Elixir Cosmetics and their lash growth "Enhancement Serums". Elixir Cosmetics is a skincare brand founded in 1983 that focuses on collagen research and hair products. Elixir Cosmetic's lash products that fall under the settlement agreement to pay out nearly $2,300,000 include the following covered serums:

Babe Lash Essential Lash Serum
Babe Lash Eyelash Serum
Babe Amplifying Brow Serum
Babe Brow Serum

The Elixir Babe Lash class action lawsuit states that Elixir did not share critical health information about its lash growth enhancement products. This includes not telling people that one of the ingredients, Isopropyl Cloprostenate, is a type of chemical that could potentially cause adverse reactions in consumers.

The lawyers that filed the class action asserted that Elixir bears responsibility to consumers who purchased the affected Enhancement Serums, alleging a failure to disclose pertinent information regarding potential side effects.

How Do I Qualify For A Payout?

If you bought Babe Lash Essential Lash Serum, Babe Lash Eyelash Serum, Babe Amplifying Brow Serum, or Babe Brow Serum from Elixir for your own use, for your family, household, or even for professional purposes, between June 1, 2019, and January 19, 2024, then you're part of the group affected by the Settlement.

What Can I Get?

To receive reimbursement, you need to submit a valid and timely claim form by the claim deadline of April 19, 2024. You can receive varying amounts of class action payouts, depending on whether you have proof of purchase or not, as follows:

No Proof of Purchase: If you don't have proof of purchase, you'll be eligible for a one-time cash reimbursement of up to $25.00 per claim per household.

With Proof of Purchase: If you can provide proof of purchase, you can receive a $25 payment for each unit you bought. Proof of purchase can include receipts, canceled checks, or credit card statements showing payment for the relevant Babe Lash products. Please submit any proofs of purchase that you have available along with your claim form at the bottom of this page.

Additionally, as part of the class action agreement, Elixir Cosmetics has agreed to update their instructions and ingredients for their Babe Lash line of affected products. They will now include more detailed cautionary instructions, and changes will be made to how the products are advertised.
