What Was the Norton Bonded Abrasive Wheels Settlement?
A $1.6 million class action settlement resolved allegations against Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc., the manufacturer and marketer of certain Norton-branded abrasive discs, over a claim that the company failed to disclose accurate "best by" or expiration dates on some of the discs. The covered products were certain Norton-branded sanding or grinding discs used for industrial, commercial, and personal work — common tools for machine tooling, woodworking, masonry, and other hobby or commercial projects.
