What Does the Lawsuit Allege?

The complaint alleges that Yanka Industries, which does business as MasterClass, used tracking technology to transmit subscribers’ video-viewing information and identifying data to Meta without the consent required by the federal Video Privacy Protection Act. These are allegations, and the court has not ruled that MasterClass violated the law.

The complaint seeks to represent qualifying MasterClass digital subscribers whose viewing information was allegedly disclosed. A proposed class definition in a complaint does not mean that a court has certified a class.
