What is The Porsche Class Action Settlement About?
A Class Action Settlement has been reached with Porsche over allegations that certain Porsche infotainment systems experienced a malfunctioning reboot issue starting on May 20, 2020. The class action applies to specific Porsche vehicles and a system called the PCM 3.1 with an XM satellite antenna, also known as the "Porsche Communication Management" system.
How Do I Qualify for a Payout?
In order to qualify for Settlement Benefits you must have either bought or leased a Porsche vehicle before May 20, 2020, that was equipped with an XM satellite radio antenna and a PCM 3.1 system. How Much Can I Get If I Owned a Qualifying Porsche?
The Porsche Settlement will provide multiple tiers of benefits to people who will submit a valid and timely claim form. This benefit can include reimbursement for expenses you had to pay to fix the relevant "PCM" rebooting issues, like replacing or repairing the PCM, getting a new battery, towing, or other transportation costs, for up to $7,500. Additionally, if you spent time dealing with the problem but didn't have any expenses or can't prove them, you can choose between receiving a $25 payment or getting a $50 credit at a Porsche dealership.
