What Happened?

The lawsuit alleged that AMC Networks disclosed subscribers' video-viewing information through tracking technology without the consent required by the Video Privacy Protection Act. AMC denied wrongdoing and settled the claims.

Who Was Covered?

The class included qualifying U.S. registered users of AMC+, Shudder, Acorn TV, ALLBLK, SundanceNow, or HIDIVE who requested or obtained video content during the January 18, 2021 through January 10, 2024 class period.

What Benefits Were Available?

Valid claimants shared the net cash fund pro rata. The settlement also provided a one-week AMC+ digital subscription benefit to settlement class members under the agreement.

How Claims Were Filed

Claims had to be submitted by April 9, 2024. The claims process and payment-election window are closed.
