What is the Pine-Sol Class Action Settlement?

A $5,650,000 Class Action Lawsuit has been settled over certain Pine-Sol products, manufactured and distributed by the Clorox Company. If you purchased qualifying Pine-Sol scented cleaning products at any time from November 1, 2018 through November 15, 2023 in the United States, you may be owed compensation starting from $3.57 without proof of purchase, or up to a full refund for your purchases if you have documentation.

The Pine-Sol settlement agreement was reached due to allegations stemming from a prior consumer Pine-Sol recall. The Pine-Sol recall was ordered in response to alleged hazardous bacteria contamination of various scented Pine-Sol cleaning products. The massive recall affected more than 37 million units of Pine-Sol at the time. You can read more details about the 2023 Pine-Sol Clorox recall here.

How Do I Qualify For A Payout From the Pine-Sol Lawsuit?

In order to qualify for the Clorox Pine-Sol Class Action settlement you must have purchased specific Pine-Sol products at any time from November 1, 2018, and November 15, 2023. The Pine-Sol cleaners must have been purchased for household use and not for distribution or resale in the United States.

Which Pine-Sol Products are Part of the Settlement?

The following Pine-Sol cleaning products qualify:
