OpenClassActions.com is published by Open Class Actions LLC, based in Hudson, New York, and has reported on class action settlements since 2019. Our standards, sourcing and corrections process are set out in our Editorial Policy.
OpenClassActions.com is an informational publishing platform and a marketing / referral platform. We are not a law firm, settlement administrator, claims administrator, or government agency, and we do not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by using this site, submitting a form, or communicating with us.
Empower consumers with accurate and up-to-date information about class action lawsuits, settlements, and consumer rights to keep corporations honest. The goal is simple — help more eligible people claim the funds they are owed, whether from faulty products and services or from promises that companies don't honor to their customers and users.
Most eligible class members never file. In a 2019 Federal Trade Commission staff study of 149 consumer class action settlements, the median claims rate was 9%, and the overall rate was under 10% (FTC, Consumers and Class Actions, September 2019). We want to increase awareness, improve clarity, and make it easier to file legitimate claims before deadlines.
We work from official sources — court orders, public dockets, and the court-appointed settlement administrator's website — and cross-check them against official press releases. Each page labels the case status (preliminary, proposed, approved, or dismissed), the deadlines, and the documentation required when known, and is updated when terms change or new filings are published. Source links appear at the end of full posts. The complete policy, including our sourcing rules and AI disclosure, is on our Editorial Policy page.
Corrections: to report a factual error, email editorial@openclassactions.com with the page URL and a brief description. When we correct a material error, we note the correction on the affected page along with the date.
OpenClassActions.com is free to read. The site is supported by display advertising, by affiliate links (disclosed where they appear), and by clearly labeled sponsored content and lead-generation placements with partner law firms and claims administrators. Sponsored placements are marked "Sponsored," "Advertisement," "Attorney Advertising," or similar. Editorial coverage decisions are made independently of these relationships, and we do not allow advertisers to review or approve editorial coverage as a condition of advertising. Full details are in our Advertising Disclosure.
