A $7,000,000 class action lawsuit has been settled with Brightline, a pediatric behavioral health provided, over allegations that they were responsible for a data breach that resulted in over 1 million individuals' protected health information being leaked.

Brightline has notified individuals about the data security incident involving its vendor, Fortra, which operates the GoAnywhere MFT file transfer software. On January 30, 2023, Fortra detected suspicious activity indicating a security breach due to an unknown vulnerability that allowed unauthorized access to customer accounts. How Much Can I Get Paid?

How Do I File a Claim?

To file a claim, you must submit a claim form online or by mail. The claim form can be found on the official settlement website. You will need the Unique ID and PIN printed on the inside of the Postcard Notice you received in the mail. If you did not receive a Postcard Notice or have lost yours, you may be able to contact the Brightline settlement administrators directly for assistance.
