What's A&W Dr Pepper Class Action About?

A $15 Million Class Action Settlement has been agreed upon over A&W Root Beer. A&W root beer and cream soda is manufactured and distributed by Keurig Dr Pepper, a "leading producer and distributor of hot and cold beverages". According to the A&W class action lawsuit, A&W was falsely advertised as containing natural vanilla, when it had artificial vanilla flavoring. Specifically, the root beer was labeled as “Made With Aged Vanilla”.

How Much Will I Get Paid?

The Dr Pepper A&W Root Beer and Cream Soda Class Action Settlement will be divided into two classes of claimants: Those who have proof of purchase, and those who do not provide a valid proof of purchase with their claim form.

• Without Proof of Purchase: Consumers who will file a claim form without evidence of purchase will get a settlement payment of $5.50, pro-rated. This means that the payment will be subject to adjustments based on the total amount of valid and timely claim forms filed.

• With Proof of Purchase: Those that send a claim form attached with valid evidence of purchase can receive a minimum of $5.50 per claim, with a capped maximum of $25.00.
