The Anker PowerCore 10000 (Model A1263) may overheat and catch fire due to a reported battery defect. Anker is recalling affected units to prevent burn, smoke, and fire hazards. About 1,158,000 units are affected by this recall, which was announced on June 14, 2025. The recall is for the Anker PowerCore 10000 (Model A1263) power bank, which was sold in the United States from June 1, 2016 to December 31, 2022.
Anker is a popular brand of batteries that are used to charge electronics such as smartphones, laptops and tablets. Anker has identified a potential defect in the lithium-ion battery of certain PowerCore 10000 (Model A1263) units that may cause:
