payment from a new $5.5 million class action settlement. The settlement provides compensation for pet owners who

Excluded are purchasers for resale, certain individuals who previously settled directly with the company, officers
and directors of Defendant, the Court and its staff, and anyone who validly opts out.

Mid America Pet Food is a Texas-based pet food manufacturer known for producing several popular pet food brands
including Victor, Wayne Feeds, Eagle Mountain, and Member's Mark. In 2023, Mid America Pet Food issued multiple
recalls for potential Salmonella contamination that led to this class action
settlement.
What Pet Food Products are Covered?
The settlement applies to specific Mid America Pet Food Products associated with the Salmonella related
recalls, including select Victor, Wayne Feeds, Eagle Mountain, and Member's Mark products, among others, with
"Best By" dates before October 31, 2024.

1. Pet Injury Claims

• Documented Pet Injury Claims: Paid at 100% of approved documented losses, up to $100,000 per Valid Claim
Form. Acceptable documentation includes veterinary records, invoices, receipts, payment records, or other
evidence of expenses and losses, including necessary future care related to the exposure.
• Undocumented Pet Injury Claims Supported Solely by Declaration: Paid at $50 for pets that became ill but
did not die, or $100 for pets that died. These claims must be credible in the judgment of the Settlement
Administrator.
• Breeder Claims: For breeders with documented business related pet injury losses, up to the same $100,000
cap per Valid Claim Form.
2. Consumer Food Purchase Claims
• Documented Food Purchase Claims: Paid at 100% of approved purchase price for covered Mid America Pet
Food Products with documentation such as receipts, invoices, order confirmations, or proof of payment.
• Undocumented Food Purchase Claims: $20 per bag of covered product, up to two bags per Settlement Class
Member, for a maximum of $40 without receipts.
3. Pro Rata Adjustments
If there is money left in the Net Settlement Fund after paying all valid claims at full value, approved claims may
be increased proportionally. If there is not enough money to pay all valid claims in full, payments will be
reduced on a pro rata basis.
How Do I File a Claim?
To receive any payment, you must submit a Claim Form. You can:
• File online through the official settlement website, or
• Complete and mail a paper Claim Form to the Settlement Administrator.
Each Claim Form must be fully completed, signed, and, if applicable, include supporting documentation for pet
injuries or product purchases. Follow the instructions on the form carefully.
What is the Claim Form Deadline?
Your Claim Form must be submitted online, or postmarked if mailed, by February 5, 2026.
Late claims are expected to be denied and treated the same as doing nothing.
When Will the Settlement Be Approved and I Can Get Paid?
The Court will decide whether to approve the settlement at the Final Approval Hearing scheduled for February 6,
2026 at 10:00 AM (Webex Teleconference).
If the judge grants final approval and there are no appeals, the Settlement Administrator can begin finishing
claim reviews and preparing payments. If there is an appeal, payments may be delayed until the appeal is resolved.
