The FTC sent 1,215,337 checks and PayPal payments totaling more than $27.6 million in December 2025. No claim form was required. The FTC instructed recipients to cash checks within 90 days or accept PayPal payments within 30 days, so those acceptance windows have passed.

What Was the FTC Case About?

The FTC alleged that Legion Media and related companies advertised “free” or low-cost personal-care products, then charged some consumers more than advertised, billed for products they did not order, or enrolled them in recurring plans without consent. The defendants resolved the FTC’s claims through stipulated orders.
