About Steve

Steve Levine is the CEO and Founder of OpenClassActions.com, a leading platform that connects consumers with open class action settlements and lawsuits in the United States. With a strong background in law, technology, and consumer rights advocacy, Steve has spent the last 15 years working to bring legal consumer advocacy, privacy protection, data rights, and class action news to as many people as possible.

Background in Consumer Fraud Protection

Steve worked in the New York State Attorney General's Consumer Frauds Bureau from 2008 to 2011, where he served as a mediator resolving disputes between consumers and businesses over deceptive business practices. As a mediator, he helped move cases forward involving false advertising, tort and contract fraud, and mass arbitrations tied to deceptive practices by local businesses in New York City. This experience continues to inform his dedication to empowering the public with transparent, accessible legal resources on consumer class actions and data breach lawsuits.

With more than a decade of experience building and scaling digital platforms, Steve brings a sharp product focus, data-driven strategy, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance to the legal news and marketing space. Under his leadership, OpenClassActions.com has grown into one of the most trusted resources for discovering class actions online. Historically, class actions have suffered from very low discovery rates because of outmoded practices like notifying qualifying claimants by snail mail. The purpose of OpenClassActions.com is to bring consumer lawsuits to the attention of as many Americans as possible.
