What's This Settlement About?

A Settlement has been reached with Dollar General Corporation, Dolgencorp, LLC, and DG Retail, LLC (“Dollar General”) in a Class Action Lawsuit claiming that Dollar General deceptively marketed, advertised, and sold DG Auto motor oils that were obsolete and potentially harmful to automobiles. Dollar General denies any wrongdoing.

Under the Settlement, Dollar General agrees to provide up to a maximum of $28,500,000 to Settlement Class Members who submit Valid Claims. Dollar General also agrees to refrain from selling certain motor oil and to add additional oversight measures..
