What's This Settlement About?
Consumers who purchased Ducktrap River of Maine smoked Atlantic salmon products, including those
marketed
under the Ducktrap River of Maine, Kendall Brook,
Spruce Point, Marine Harvest, and Nova Lox brand names (the “Ducktrap Products”) between
March 1,
2017 and
May 13, 2021 may be
eligible for up to $25 cash payment without proof of purchase as part of a $1.3 Million Class Action
Settlement.
How Do I Qualify?
If your claim is timely and valid and the Court approves the settlement, this nation wide settlement may
reimburse you for part of your past purchases of smoked salmon
associated with the above brands.
The class action alleged that Ducktrap River of Maine
smoked Atlantic salmon product with packaging that included the phrases “sustainably sourced,” “all
natural,” and/or “from Maine” misled customers by
inaccurately marking the Ducktrap salmon products as being all natural, sustainably sourced, and from
Maine.
The class action alleges that the products were actually not from Maine, not sourced in an
environmentally
sustainable way, and were treated with artificial chemicals.
How Do I File a Claim?
Each Class Member may submit a claim, either electronically or by mail
here for each of the Products purchased or used during the Class Period. Consumers are promised
to
receive a cash payment
equivalent to up to two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) for every package of the Ducktrap Product
purchased
in the United States
per household between 2017 and 2021.
For customers who have proof of payment, the 10 package limit does not apply.
Proof of purchase can take
the
form of a timestamped or dated receipt, credit card or bank statement, or other document that shows the
Class Members' actual purchase of one or more of the Ducktrap salmon products within the
Class Period (between 2017 and 2021)
