EpiSource LLC is a California software company that provides support for health plans and providers. EpiSource is a medical coding business. After a forensic investigation was conducted, EpiSource notified consumers that a data breach stemming from access to Amazon Web Services ("AWS") occurred in February 2023. According to the investigation, EpiSource consumer medical data was able to be exposed when a third party was able to get access to the information on AWS without prior authorization.
