What "No Proof Required" Actually Means
A settlement earns a place on this page when its claim form asks for nothing beyond your own identification and an attestation that you fall inside the class. No receipts, no bank or billing records, no screenshots, and no Claim ID, Notice ID or PIN printed on a mailed or emailed notice.
That last exclusion is the one most lists get wrong. A settlement can advertise a cash tier that needs "no documentation" and still gate its online claim form on a code only the administrator sent you. Anyone who never received the notice, or threw it away, cannot file — so the code functions as proof of class membership, and a case gated that way is listed under the ID tier rather than here. No proof is not the same as no requirements. Each settlement still has a class definition — a product bought inside a date range, a notice received, a service used in one state — and the claim form asks you to confirm you meet it under penalty of perjury.
The Four Proof Tiers, and Where This Page Sits

How to File
Open the settlement page for the case you qualify for, read the class definition, and use the link to the official settlement website. Filing there is free. The settlement administrator is a court-appointed company that runs notice and claims, and the official site is the only place a claim is recorded.
Two things are worth knowing before you file. Payment is rarely immediate: a claim period closes, the court holds a final approval hearing, and appeals can follow, so months between filing and payment are normal. And where a settlement divides a fixed fund among everyone who files, the per-person figure is a pro rata share that is not final until the claims period closes — published estimates are estimates.
If the administrator finds something missing or inconsistent, it usually sends a deficiency notice with a window to respond. Responding inside that window generally keeps the claim alive.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does "no proof required" mean on a class action claim form?
It means the claim form does not ask you to upload or mail anything to support your claim. You identify yourself, attest under penalty of perjury that you fall within the class definition, and choose how you want to be paid. It does not mean the settlement has no eligibility requirements, and it does not mean claims go unchecked — administrators still audit claims and cross-check them against the defendant's own records.
Why do some settlements ask for a Claim ID even when they do not ask for receipts?
Because the class list is already known. When a settlement is built from the defendant's own customer, employee or breach-notification records, the administrator mails or emails each class member a unique Claim ID, Notice ID or PIN, and the online claim form is gated on that code instead of on documents. That code is treated as proof on this site, because a class member who never received the notice or discarded it cannot file without it. Settlements gated that way are not listed on this page.
Why are settlements that pay automatically not on this list?
An automatic-payment settlement has no claim form at all. Payment is issued from the defendant's records, and the only optional step is usually choosing a payment method or opting out. Calling that "no proof required" would suggest there is a claim to file when there is not, so those settlements are tracked separately. If you are in the class of an automatic-payment settlement, the thing to watch is the payment-election or opt-out date, which is not a claim deadline.
Does no proof required mean anyone can file a claim?
No. Every settlement on this page has a class definition — a product bought in a date range, a notice received, a service used in a particular state — and you have to fall inside it. Even on a no-proof settlement, an administrator can ask follow-up questions where a claim does not line up with the class records.
Is it free to file a class action settlement claim?

Attorneys' fees in a class settlement are paid out of the settlement itself, subject to court approval, not billed to class members. Services that offer to file on your behalf for a percentage are not affiliated with the settlement administrator or the court.
