Turbo Data Systems (TDS) is a vendor that provides processing services for agencies and municipalities in California, including citation payment services. The files involved in its breach related to those citation payment services.
The Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, which operates Caltrain, filed the Turbo Data Systems notice with the California Attorney General on November 3, 2026. The letter says TDS worked with the agency to confirm contact information before notifying the people involved.
The letter says the information may have included a person’s name and Social Security number. TDS says it has no evidence the information was used to commit identity theft or fraud.
No lawsuit or settlement over the Turbo Data Systems incident has been reported as of November 6, 2026, so there is nothing to claim. TDS is offering 12 months of free credit monitoring through Cyberscout, with enrollment open for 90 days from the date of each letter.
