Unique ID and PIN from notice (no receipts required)
If you own or owned a small Chicago restaurant that appeared on DoorDash or Caviar without your agreement, you may be eligible for a payment. You must submit an Attestation Form by March 30, 2026 to receive your share.
DoorDash is providing payments of up to $2,500 to certain Chicago-based restaurants that were listed on the DoorDash or Caviar marketplaces without a contractual relationship with DoorDash.
What is the DoorDash Chicago Settlement About?
This settlement stems from the case City of Chicago v DoorDash. The City of Chicago alleged that DoorDash listed certain Chicago restaurants on its DoorDash and Caviar marketplaces without having a contractual relationship with those restaurants.
As part of the resolution, DoorDash agreed to create a fund to compensate eligible restaurants that were listed without their consent or a formal agreement.
How Do I Qualify For a Payout?
Your restaurant may qualify if it meets all of the following criteria:
• Your restaurant has nine or fewer locations in the City of Chicago operating under a common business name
• Your restaurant was previously listed on DoorDash or Caviar without a contractual relationship with DoorDash at any point between August 27, 2019 and November 14, 2025
• Your restaurant does not currently have a contract with DoorDash or Caviar to be listed on either marketplace
If your business name and address are listed as the recipient of the notice you received, you are eligible for payment.
Eligible restaurants that submit a valid Attestation Form will receive an equal share of the settlement fund, up to a maximum of $2,500 per restaurant.
The exact amount depends on how many eligible restaurants submit attestation forms. The fewer restaurants that claim, the closer each payment will be to the $2,500 maximum.
How Do I File a Claim
Instead of a traditional claim form, this settlement uses an Attestation Form with a login. Here's how to submit it:
2. Enter your Unique ID and PIN from the notice you received (both are printed at the top of your notice)
3. Complete the CAPTCHA verification
4. Confirm that you own (or owned) an eligible restaurant that was listed on DoorDash or Caviar without a contractual relationship
If your restaurant has multiple locations, choose and enter only one Unique ID and PIN to submit your attestation.
What is the Claim Form Deadline?
The deadline to submit an Attestation Form is March 30, 2026.
What are the Important Dates?
• Attestation Form Deadline: March 30, 2026
• Expected Payment Date: By end of June 2026
When is the class action settlement payment date?
Unlike many class action settlements that require court approval before payments go out, this settlement has a defined payment timeline. The claims administrator (Atticus Administration) will issue payments by the end of June 2026.
Is Proof Required to File a Claim?
No traditional proof of purchase or receipts are required. You simply need to submit an Attestation Form confirming that you own (or owned) an eligible restaurant that was listed on DoorDash or Caviar without a contractual relationship.
You will need the Unique Identifier and PIN from the notice you received to access and submit the form.
How Do I Find Class Action Settlements?
Find all the latest class actions you can qualify for by getting notified of new lawsuits as soon as they are open to claims:
