Current Status

The official settlement website posts a final-approval order. Its FAQ said payments would follow after the settlement became final and any appeals were resolved, but the site does not provide a current public distribution notice. Claims are no longer accepted.

What Is This Case About?

The lawsuit alleged that HSCGP healthcare companies used tracking technology, including the Meta Pixel, that transmitted personally identifiable or health-related information from patient-facing websites between August 1, 2021 and June 30, 2023. HSCGP denied the allegations and liability.

Who Was Included?

The settlement class included people identified by the administrator as having used covered HSCGP websites during the specified period. A valid claim had to include the requested settlement-identifying information.

What Was the Benefit?

Each approved claimant was eligible for a $38 cash payment. The agreement also required HSCGP to cover approved claims and court-approved settlement costs rather than announcing a fixed common fund.
