Jiffy Lube (Team Car Care) Washington Pay Transparency Class Action Settlement
PublishedJune 25, 2026
If you applied for a Jiffy Lube job in Washington since 2023 and the posting hid the pay range, you may qualify for an estimated $1,519.58 — but you have to file a claim.
A proposed class action settlement has been reached in Hill v. Team Car Care, LLC, et al.,
Case No. 24-2-16983-1 SEA, pending in the Superior Court of the State of Washington for King County
before Judge Samuel Chung. The named plaintiff alleged that Team Car Care, LLC (which does business as
Jiffy Lube) and Team Car Care West, LLC posted job openings in Washington that did not disclose the
wage scale or salary range being offered, in alleged violation of Washington's Equal Pay and
Opportunities Act, RCW 49.58.110.
The Defendants dispute the allegations and contend they have not violated any law. The settlement is
not an admission of wrongdoing. Under the agreement, the Defendants will pay a Maximum Settlement Fund
of $1,181,250 to resolve the claims. On April 28, 2026, the Court preliminarily approved the settlement
and authorized the settlement administrator to issue notice and a Claim Form. The Court still has to
decide whether to grant final approval; no payments will be made unless and until the settlement is
approved and becomes final.

Who Qualifies?
According to the Notice, the Settlement Class includes all individuals who, from January 1, 2023
through April 28, 2026 (the date of preliminary approval), completed and maintained an application
for a job opening in the State of Washington with one or more of the Defendants through a job posted
on the Defendants' website or an authorized third-party recruiting platform, where the job posting
did not include a wage scale or salary range.
The Defendants' records identify the people believed to be in the class, which is why eligible
applicants received a Notice with a Notice ID and PIN. Excluded from the class are the Defendants and
their officers, directors, and affiliates, the assigned judge and court staff, and anyone who timely
requests exclusion. If you are unsure whether you are included, you can confirm your status through the
official settlement website.
How Much Can You Get?
The Notice lists an estimated payment of $1,519.58 for each Settlement Class Member who submits a
timely, valid Claim Form. All eligible claimants receive an equal share of the Net Settlement Fund —
the Maximum Settlement Fund of $1,181,250 after Court-approved attorneys' fees, costs, and any service
award are deducted. The actual per-person amount can move up or down depending on how many valid claims
are filed, so the $1,519.58 figure is an estimate, not a guaranteed amount.
All claims are subject to a verification process, and the settlement administrator may request
additional information. If the Court grants final approval and the settlement becomes final, checks will
be mailed to eligible claimants after any appeals are resolved. Settlement checks expire and become void
120 days after the date they are issued, so cash or deposit your check promptly.
How to File a Claim
To receive a payment you must submit a Claim Form online or by mail on or before August 21, 2026.
The fastest way to file is online at the official settlement website using the Notice ID and PIN printed
on the Notice that was sent to you. You may also submit your Claim Form to the settlement administrator
by mail or email as described in your Notice.
If you cannot locate your Notice ID and PIN, you can request them through the official settlement
website's contact page by providing your full name and mailing address. If your address or contact
information changes before payments are issued, update the settlement administrator through the official
website so you receive your payment.
Your Other Options
• Exclude yourself. If you do not want to be bound by the settlement and want to keep the
right to sue the Defendants separately about these claims, you must mail a written request for exclusion
postmarked by August 21, 2026. If you exclude yourself, you will not receive a payment.
• Object. If you stay in the class but disagree with the settlement, you may file a written
objection with the Court by August 21, 2026. You can object only if you do not exclude yourself.
• Do nothing. If you do nothing, you will remain in the Settlement Class and be bound by its
release, but you will not receive any payment and will give up the right to sue the Defendants over the
claims resolved by this settlement.
Final Approval Hearing
The Court will hold a Final Approval Hearing before Judge Samuel Chung on October 9, 2026, at
8:30 a.m. at the King County Superior Court in Seattle, Washington, to decide whether the settlement
is fair, reasonable, and adequate. Class members may attend in person or remotely, but attendance is not
required to receive a payment. The date and time can change by court order, so check the official
settlement website to confirm before attending.
Beware of Scams
Important: the only legitimate way to file is through the official settlement website using the
Notice ID and PIN from your Notice. No legitimate administrator will ask you to pay a fee to receive your
settlement payment. Be skeptical of any message demanding payment, banking logins, or a Social Security
number to "release" your check.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who qualifies for the Jiffy Lube (Team Car Care) Washington settlement?
You are a Settlement Class Member if, between January 1, 2023 and April 28, 2026, you completed and

How much money can I get?
The Notice lists an estimated payment of $1,519.58 per valid claim. The exact amount depends on how
many valid claims are filed. The Maximum Settlement Fund is $1,181,250, shared equally by valid

submitted, and mailed claims postmarked, on or before that date.
Do I need proof to file?

official settlement website. All claims are verified.
When will I get paid?
Only if the Court grants final approval at the October 9, 2026 hearing and the settlement becomes
final. Checks are mailed after any appeals are resolved and expire 120 days after issuance.
