NordVPN experienced a service disruption in January 2025, but no court-approved outage settlement is open for claims.
Current Status
There is no public class settlement or claim process compensating users for the January 2025 outage. Separately, NordVPN has agreed to settle the consolidated auto-renewal class action in New York federal court; that settlement has not yet been filed for approval and is covered on our NordVPN auto-renewal lawsuit page. Are There Other NordVPN Lawsuits?
Separate complaints allege deceptive auto-renewal, billing, or cancellation practices. Those cases were consolidated in the Southern District of New York as Zeichner v. NordVPN S.A. et al., No. 1:25-cv-02571-ER, and the parties have agreed to settle; the terms are not public yet and the settlement does not admit wrongdoing.
