Aveanna Healthcare provides home health, hospice and private nursing care in over 30 states throughout the United States. They are headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and serve over 40,000 patients. Recently, Aveanna Healthcare discovered that their internal computer network had been breached through an email account. It was determined that private data and protected health information on their system had been accessed by an unauthorized party in September of 2023. On March 15, 2024, Aveanna began sending out notice letters to affected individuals informing them that their data could be in the hands of criminal hackers, including their: names, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state ID, dates of birth, protected health information and medical information.Data breaches are serious matters that can cause long term damage.
