On April 24, 2025, Huffy issued a recall of their Huffy Torex 24V UTV Ride-On Toy. The red and black utility terrain vehicles, sold at Walmart or on Walmart.com, are at serious risk of smoking or catching fire. The problem is that they were wired improperly and can overheat. The Huffy Corporation is offering free repairs or $50 toward repair by a third party. People should immediately stop using these toys until they are repaired.
Huffy has recalled 24,700 Torex 24V UTV kid's buggy riding toys due to a fire hazard caused by improper wiring. The recall involves black-and-red ride-on UTVs sold exclusively at Walmart from August 2019 to December 2024 for $500 to $600.
