What's This Settlement About?
A settlement that includes a $12,500,000 fund has been reach with PCC Structurals, LLC. The original lawsuit that was settled as a class action alleged that PCC Structural's manufacturing processes interfered with residents in certain areas of Portland, Oregon. The lawsuit stated that certain metals, including nickel, emitted by
the process of making nickel-based superalloys, titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum
investment castings at PCC's Large Parts Campus had affected residents of Southeast Portland at certain locations.
How Do I Qualify?
If you owned or resided in a residential property within the area shown on the map below in 2016,
then you are a Class Member. If you resided within this area as of February 17, 2016 you may qualify for substantial payouts in this settlement:
What Can I Get?
The Settlement provides that PCC will install $1.95 million worth of certain enhanced
pollution controls at its facilities, at its own cost. All Class Members will benefit
from this relief. PCC has also spent an additional $7.7 million on emission control equipment
since 2016 related to the emissions at issue in this litigation. In addition, PCC
will pay $12.5 million into a Settlement Fund for cash payments to Class Members.
