A $50 million class action settlement has been reached over allegations that California residents were forced to pay higher prices for gasoline due to artificial cost manipulation.
The gas price inflation class action lawsuit, The State of California v. Vitol Inc., et al., alleges that Vitol Inc., SK Energy Americas, Inc., and SK Trading International Co. Ltd. manipulated gasoline price indices, causing inflated retail gas prices in California, in violation of California's antitrust laws including the Cartwright Act and Unfair Competition Law.

How Much Can I Get Paid?
The amount of the payment will depend on how many valid claims are received. Each claimant will receive an equal share of the $37.5 million portion of the Settlement Fund allocated to the Cartwright Act claim, after deductions for payments of taxes, administration costs, attorney fees, costs, and expenses.
