You may be part of a new $500,000 class action settlement if you received spam text messages from NaturaLawn of
America,
Inc., even after you asked the company to stop texting you.
The class action lawsuit claims that NaturaLawn continued to send
marketing text messages in violation of the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act, also known as the TCPA.
NaturaLawn denies any wrongdoing, but agreed to a settlement that creates a fund of up to 500,000 dollars for
eligible class members.
The settlement class includes all persons in the United States who, after asking NaturaLawn to stop sending text
messages, received two or more text messages from NaturaLawn within a twelve month period, as shown in the
text message records produced in the case.
The total settlement amount is up to $500,000 in a gross settlement fund.
How Much Can I Get Paid?
Each approved Settlement Class Member will receive a cash payment from the net settlement fund. According to
the official notice, the settlement is structured so that class members can receive up to $217.00 for every
NaturaLawn text message they received after they first requested that the texts stop.
The exact amount you receive will depend on several factors, including how many valid claims are filed, how many
qualifying text messages are associated with your number, and the Court approved deductions for notice costs,
attorneys fees and expenses, and the service award to the class representative. Payments are made on a pro rata
basis, so your final payment may be lower than the maximum amount.
How Do I Qualify for a Payout?
To qualify, you must:
• Live in the United States, and
• Have received two or more text messages from NaturaLawn of America within a twelve month period, after you
first asked NaturaLawn to stop sending you text messages, and
• Be included in the NaturaLawn text message records identified in the case, and
• Submit a timely and valid Claim Form by the deadline.
Only one claim is allowed per Settlement Class Member. If you are not sure whether you fall in the class, you can
contact the settlement administrator using the information at the bottom of this post.
How to File a Claim
You must submit a Claim Form to receive any payment from this settlement. There are two options:
• File online at the official settlement website, or
• Download, print, and mail a paper Claim Form to the settlement administrator.
The Claim Form must be completed fully and accurately and submitted on time. You will need to provide your
contact information and confirm, under penalty of perjury, that you received NaturaLawn text messages after
asking the company to stop, and that you are otherwise a member of the settlement class.
You must submit your Claim Form online or have it postmarked no later than January 6, 2026. Late or incomplete
claims may be rejected.
Do I Need Proof to File a Claim?
The settlement uses NaturaLawn text message records to determine who is in the class. You are not required to
upload screenshots or phone bills with your claim, but you must truthfully confirm that you received the texts and
are a class member. You may alos be asked to provide a Notice ID and Confirmation Code from the class action settlement notice you received.
By signing the Claim Form, you are swearing under penalty of perjury that the information you provide is true and
correct. The settlement administrator can verify your claim against NaturaLawn records and may reject claims
that do not match the data.
Key Deadlines
• Claim submission deadline: January 6, 2026
• Opt out deadline: December 8, 2025
• Objection deadline: December 8, 2025
• Final Approval Hearing: December 10, 2025
The Court may change these dates, so you should check the official settlement website for the latest schedule.
When Will I Get Paid?
Payments will not be issued until the Court grants final approval of the settlement and any appeals are resolved.
The notice explains that approved Claim Settlement Checks will be mailed within 60 days after the Effective Date
of
the settlement.
The Effective Date occurs after the Court enters a final approval order and any appeals are finished or the time
to
appeal runs out. This process can take several months, so payments will not be immediate.
Case Overview
The lawsuit is called Ford v. NaturaLawn of America, Inc. and is pending in the Circuit Court of the Eleventh
Judicial Circuit in and for Miami Dade County, Florida. The plaintiff, Veneshia Ford, claims that NaturaLawn
continued to send text messages to her phone number after she asked the company to stop, in violation of the
TCPA. The case seeks damages on behalf of a class of people who received similar texts.
NaturaLawn denies all wrongdoing and denies that it violated the law or that a litigation class would be
appropriate if the case went to trial. Both sides agreed to the settlement to avoid the cost and uncertainty of
continued litigation. The Court has not decided which side would win at trial.
How Do I Find Class Action Settlements?
Find all the latest class actions you can qualify for by getting notified of new lawsuits as soon as they are open to claims:
What Are My Options?
• Submit a Claim Form to receive a payment if you qualify.
• Do nothing and remain in the Settlement Class but receive no payment. You will still be bound by the
settlement and give up your right to sue NaturaLawn for these same text message claims.
• Exclude yourself by mailing an opt out request by December 8, 2025. If you opt out, you will not receive a
payment from this settlement but you keep the right to bring your own lawsuit about these texts.
• Object to the settlement if you stay in the class and want to tell the Court you do not like some part of
the
deal. Objections must be filed and mailed by December 8, 2025.
How to Opt Out
To exclude yourself, you must mail a written request for exclusion to the settlement administrator at the address
listed in the notice. Your request must:
• Be personally signed by you under penalty of perjury, and
• Clearly state that you want to be excluded from the settlement class, and that if you did not opt out you
would otherwise be a member of the settlement class.
Your exclusion request must be postmarked no later than December 8, 2025. You cannot opt out by phone,
email, or through the website. You may only opt out for yourself.
How to Object
If you do not opt out and you disagree with any part of the settlement, you may object. To object, you must file a
written objection with the Court and mail copies to the lawyers for both sides by December 8, 2025.
Your objection must include detailed information listed in the notice, such as your name, contact information, the
phone number that received texts from NaturaLawn, a statement under penalty of perjury that you are a class
member, your reasons for objecting, and whether you plan to appear at the final approval hearing. If you exclude
yourself, you cannot object, because the settlement will no longer affect you.
