What's the Rodan + Fields Consultant Wage and Hours Settlement?

If you were a Consultant for Rodan + Fields (R+F) you may be owed cash from a new Wage and Hours class action settlement with Rodan + Fields. Rodan + Fields settled the lawsuit over allegations that it misclassified some of its consultants as independent contractors, failed to pay wages, and did not reimburse business expenses, among other labor law violations.

Rodan + Fields is a skincare and haircare company founded by dermatologists, known for selling products through independent consultants and, more recently, retail. Rodan + Fields is a skincare company that was allegedly sued for failing to disclose the potential side effects of its Lash Boost product, which contained a drug-like ingredient. This led to a $38 million class action settlement for customers who purchased the product between 2016 and 2022.

What is the Total Settlement Amount?

The Maximum Settlement Amount is $8,000,000, with deductions for attorney fees, administrative costs, and penalties. The estimated Net Settlement Fund is approximately $4,500,000.

How Do I Qualify for a Payout?

You may be eligible if you were an R+F Consultant during the Class Period (March 1, 2020 - June 20, 2025) or the PAGA Period (March 1, 2023 - June 20, 2025). Eligibility depends on your worked weeks, fees paid, sales made, and purchases from Rodan + Fields.

What is PAGA?

PAGA stands for the California Private Attorneys General Act. It is a California law that allows employees to file lawsuits on behalf of themselves and other employees to recover civil penalties for labor code violations. Under PAGA, 75% of the penalties go to the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency (LWDA), and the remaining 25% is distributed among the affected employees. In this case, PAGA penalties are part of the settlement for Consultants who worked for Rodan + Fields during the PAGA Period (March 1, 2023 - June 20, 2025).
