Update — a $3.75M settlement is now open. Memorial Heart Institute (The Chattanooga Heart Institute) has agreed to a $3,750,000 class action settlement over this data breach. Class members can file for up to $5,500 in documented losses, a pro-rata cash payment for the Social Security number subclass, and two years of credit monitoring. The claim deadline is July 13, 2026. The Chattanooga Heart Institute notified individuals of a security breach to its computer system after an unauthorized actor accessed its network in March 2023. The settlement class covers approximately 460,000 individuals. The information accessed by the intruder may include the following personally sensitive and identifiable information:• Full Names,
