Who Are Lexington Law and CreditRepair.com?

Lexington Law and CreditRepair.com are two of the largest credit repair companies in the United States. They sold services promising to improve consumers' credit scores by challenging or removing items from credit reports.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (also known as the "CFPB") originally alleged that both companies violated federal law by charging illegal upfront fees for credit repair services and using deceptive telemarketing practices. In 2023, a court ruled against them, resulting in billions of dollars in judgments and refunds to harmed consumers.

Why did I get a Lexington Law refund check?

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) identified you as a harmed consumer in its enforcement action against Lexington Law and CreditRepair.com. Checks are mailed automatically to people who paid for credit repair services during the covered period.

Is the Lexington Law refund check legitimate?

What is the Total Settlement Amount?

Do I Need to File a Claim?
