The claim deadline for the $533 million end-payer price-fixing settlements with Sandoz/Fougera, Sun/Taro and Apotex/Heritage is November 9, 2026, six days away. One claim covers all three settlements, and it requires records of covered purchases made between May 2009 and December 2019.

Six Days Left to File

Claims in the combined end-payer settlements close on Monday, November 9, 2026, whether filed online or by mail with a postmark on or before that date. The three settlements total $533 million: $275 million from Sandoz and its subsidiary Fougera, $200 million from Sun and its subsidiary Taro, and $58 million from Apotex and Heritage. All three have final approval from the federal court in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and a single claim covers all of them.

The settlements resolve claims that a group of generic manufacturers conspired to fix prices, allocate customers and rig bids from 2009 to 2019. The settling companies deny wrongdoing, and many other defendants in the case have not settled.

Who Is Covered

The end-payer classes cover consumers in the United States who paid all or part of the cost of covered generic products between May 1, 2009 and December 31, 2019, whether out of pocket, through a copay or through coinsurance. Health insurers, employer plans and union benefit funds that reimbursed those costs are covered too, through their own claim path. Hundreds of common generics are on the covered list, which is published on the official settlement website.

The claim asks for records of those purchases, such as purchase histories, receipts, insurer explanation-of-benefits statements or account statements.

Two Deadlines, Two Different Programs

Coverage of these cases often shows a second deadline, March 8, 2027. That date belongs to a separate consumer program run by state attorneys general, with its own website, its own claim form and about $96.5 million from Apotex, Heritage, Lannett, Bausch and Glenmark. It does not include the $533 million described here. A claim in one program is not a claim in the other, and the November 9 end-payer deadline comes first.

Payments from the $533 million are pro rata, so the amount per claimant depends on how much was paid for covered products and how many valid claims are filed. No per-person amount or payment date had been announced as of October 1, 2026.

Questions

When is the deadline for the $533 million Sandoz, Sun/Taro and Apotex settlement?

The end-payer claim deadline is November 9, 2026, for claims filed online or postmarked by mail. One claim covers all three settlements.

Is the March 8, 2027 deadline for the same settlement?

No. March 8, 2027 is the deadline for a separate state attorneys general consumer program with its own website, claim form and money. Filing in one program does not file a claim in the other, and the November 9, 2026 end-payer deadline comes first.

Does the end-payer claim require proof?

Yes. The claim asks for records of covered purchases during the class period, such as purchase histories, receipts, insurer explanation-of-benefits statements or account statements.

How much will each claimant receive?

No per-person amount has been announced. The $533 million is paid pro rata, so each payment depends on how much the claimant paid for covered products and how many valid claims are filed. No payment date had been announced as of October 1, 2026.
