What Is Being Recalled?

Shenzhen City Donglin E-Commerce Co., Ltd., doing business as 4our Kiddies, of China, has recalled about 253,500 plastic tip restraint kits — also called furniture straps — sold in the United States. The recall was announced on March 26, 2026 with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The plastic tip restraints can break or degrade over time, allowing furniture that was anchored to the wall with them to tip over, which poses a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can cause serious injury or death to children or elderly people.

Each recalled kit contains two white plastic brackets or mounts (one connects to the furniture and the other to the wall), a white plastic cable zip tie, two different pairs of screws (one longer than the other), and two drywall anchors. The kits were sold on Amazon from June 2019 through January 2026 for between $6 and $21. CPSC testing found the recalled plastic tip restraints failed to meet the requirements of the industry standard for tip restraints. The defect is hidden because the straps can fail after consumers have already installed them.

What Should Consumers Do?

Stop using the 4our Kiddies plastic tip restraints immediately and contact 4our Kiddies for a free replacement tip restraint kit made of stainless steel. Keep children away from any furniture secured with the recalled straps while waiting for the replacement kit, and dispose of the recalled plastic kit once the stainless steel replacement arrives. The contact details for requesting the free replacement are listed on the official CPSC recall notice.

As a general safety measure, the CPSC recommends anchoring tall or heavy furniture — such as dressers, bookcases, and shelving — to the wall to prevent tip-overs, using a restraint that meets the applicable safety standard.

How Many Incidents Have Been Reported?

The CPSC said it was aware of at least 150 reports of the kits breaking, including three reported furniture tip-over incidents. No injuries have been reported in connection with the recall.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which 4our Kiddies products are being recalled?

The recall covers about 253,500 4our Kiddies plastic tip restraint kits, also called furniture straps. They were sold on Amazon from June 2019 through January 2026 for between $6 and $21.

Why are the 4our Kiddies tip restraint kits being recalled?

The plastic tip restraints can break or degrade over time, allowing furniture that was anchored with them to tip over.
