4.3 Million Tubes of Brush Buddies, evo and ARU Toothpaste Recalled — Including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Crayola and My Little Pony Kids’ Tubes

Published November 4, 2026

People who bought Brush Buddies, evo or ARU fluoride toothpaste — including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Crayola Silly Scents and My Little Pony kids’ tubes — from the specific lots listed by the FDA have no refund or claim form to file; the FDA’s enforcement report lists the recalled lot numbers and expiration dates but no consumer remedy. Pritam International recalled about 4.3 million tubes of 17 toothpastes over manufacturing deviations in a Class II recall.

What Is Being Recalled?

Pritam International Private Limited, a manufacturer based in Haridwar, India, is recalling 17 fluoride toothpastes distributed in the United States by Ashtel Studios Inc. of Ontario, California, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s enforcement report. The recall covers about 4,301,700 tubes sold under the Brush Buddies, evo and ARU names, including children’s toothpastes branded with Barbie, Hot Wheels, Crayola Silly Scents and My Little Pony.

The FDA lists the reason as “CGMP Deviations,” meaning the toothpastes were not made in line with the agency’s current good manufacturing practice requirements. The report does not name a specific contaminant or defect. Pritam started the voluntary recall on September 10, 2026, and the FDA classified it as Class II on October 19, 2026. The recall is listed as ongoing, with nationwide distribution.

How to Check a Tube

Only specific lots are recalled, so the brand name alone does not settle it. Each listed lot code begins with “LWP” and is printed on the tube or carton along with the expiration date. The expiration dates on the recalled lots run from November 30, 2026, through December 4, 2028. A tube of the same product with a lot code that is not on the list is not part of the recall.

The FDA’s list for this recall covers only these three brand names, and all 17 products carry the National Drug Code labeler prefix 84140.

What a Class II Recall Means

The FDA sorts recalls into three classes. Class II covers situations in which use of a product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences, or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote. Class I, the most serious category, is reserved for products that could cause serious health problems or death.

The FDA did not issue a press release for this recall, and its enforcement report does not set out consumer instructions, a refund program or a registration site. Any return or refund for a recalled tube would be handled by the store where it was bought.
