What Was Recalled?

Rowenta recalled its X-Force Flex 14.60 Animal (model RH99A2U1) and X-Force Flex 15.60 Animal (model RH99F2U1) cordless stick vacuums in a recall announced with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in early July 2026. The problem is the lithium-ion battery — model ZR0097U2 with date codes beginning 23 or 24 — which can overheat and ignite. There have been 2 reports in the United States and roughly 65 worldwide of the batteries overheating or catching fire.

The vacuums were sold at Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Amazon, Walmart, and other retailers from July 2023 through January 2026 for about $250 to $550. Only the battery is being replaced — the vacuum itself is not defective.
