Vitaquest International LLC, of West Caldwell, New Jersey, is recalling about 356,140 iron-containing dietary supplement bottles and packets in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall, announced April 9, 2026 (Recall No. 26-386), spans 11 brands the company manufactures: Arey (Not Today, Grey), Bari Life, Bird&Be, Biote, Dr. Fuhrman, NuLife, HMR, Bariatric Pal, Noevir, Zenbean, and Sakara.
The supplements were sold nationwide at retailers including Ulta Beauty, The Vitamin Shoppe, Credo Beauty, and Erewhon, on Amazon.com, and through medical practitioners' offices from April 2023 through February 2026. The remedy is a free resealable child-resistant storage pouch to store the products.
According to the CPSC recall notice, the supplements contain iron, which under the federal Poison Prevention Packaging Act must be sold in child-resistant packaging. The recalled products are not in child-resistant packaging, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if a young child swallows the contents.
Iron is one of the leading causes of poisoning deaths in young children. Even a small number of high-dose iron tablets can be dangerous to a small child. As of the recall announcement, no incidents or injuries had been reported. Vitaquest is providing free resealable child-resistant storage pouches to bring the affected products into compliance.
You are covered by the recall if you bought any of the listed iron-containing supplements from one of these 11 brands during the sale period. If you have one of these products — especially in a household with young children — the CPSC says you should immediately store it out of the sight and reach of children and request the free child-resistant replacement. You do not need a receipt to participate, and the remedy is the same no matter where you bought it.
Vitaquest is handling the recall through its official recall page. There is no cost to participate:
• Immediately store the recalled supplements out of the sight and reach of children
• Go to Vitaquest's official recall page and request the free child-resistant replacement
• Identify the brand and product you have so Vitaquest can send your free resealable child-resistant storage pouch
• Continue storing the supplements safely away from children until the replacement arrives
Packaging and labeling recalls sometimes draw consumer class action investigations, particularly where shoppers paid full price for a product that did not meet a federal safety requirement. No class action complaint over the Vitaquest iron supplement recall had been publicly confirmed as of this writing. If a lawsuit is filed, this page will be updated. For now, the recall remedy — a free resealable child-resistant storage pouch through Vitaquest's official recall page — is the official path for affected consumers.

Do I have to throw the supplements away?
No. The recall remedy is a free resealable child-resistant storage pouch, not disposal. Until the replacement arrives, the CPSC says to store the supplements out of the sight and reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion.
