What Is Being Recalled?

Total Nutrition Inc., of Deer Park, NY, has expanded a recall to include TNVitamins brand Ultra Potent Complete Green Superfood Capsules and Doctor's Pride brand Complete Green Superfood capsules over possible Salmonella contamination. The products are packaged in white HDPE supplement bottles with smooth white caps, each holding 120 clear capsules filled with green moringa powder. They were sold nationwide, in stores and online.

According to the recall, the expansion was discovered during a supply-chain traceability review that identified a common moringa raw material from Lot 2507199 or 2512-304 — the same raw material connected to one of the lots in the original recall. Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems; healthy people may experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

How to Get a Refund

Consumers who have the recalled capsules should stop using them. Total Nutrition is offering refunds to customers who provide their name, order number, and a photo of the product showing the lot codes in question.

Because the refund is handled directly by the company, use the contact details published in the official FDA recall notice to start the refund request rather than relying on any third-party site. Keep the bottle and a clear photo of its label and lot codes before discarding it, since the photo is needed to process the refund.

What Happens Next?

This is an expansion of an earlier moringa recall, and additional products or lots could be added if further traceability work identifies more affected raw material. Anyone who consumed the product and feels ill should contact a healthcare provider. For the most current list of affected products and lots, check the official FDA recall notice.
