What Happened?

The lawsuit concerned unauthorized access to Arcadia Publishing systems beginning in March 2023 and alleged that the defendant did not use reasonable safeguards for names, Social Security numbers, addresses, identification numbers, and financial-account information. The defendant denied the allegations and wrongdoing. The parties agreed to settle to avoid the cost, delay, and uncertainty of continued litigation.

What Benefits Were Available?

Class members could choose an alternative cash payment estimated at $100 or claim up to $5,000 for documented losses and lost time. Three years of credit monitoring was also available with the loss option.
