T-Mobile Washington Job Postings Class Action Settlement
PublishedJuly 19, 2026
This settlement resolves claims that T-Mobile's Washington job postings left out pay ranges; if you applied for a T-Mobile job in Washington since January 2023, you can file a claim by September 8, 2026 for an estimated $1,487.82.
T-Mobile USA, Inc. and five related entities — T-Mobile Central LLC, T-Mobile Financial LLC, T-Mobile Leasing LLC, T-Mobile Resources LLC, and T-Mobile West LLC — agreed to a settlement with a maximum payment of $2,137,500 to resolve a class action alleging that their job postings for open positions in Washington State did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and a general description of the benefits and other compensation being offered. The lawsuit, Lowe v. T-Mobile USA, Inc., et al., claims those postings violated Washington's pay transparency law, RCW 49.58.110, part of the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act, which requires employers to include pay and benefit information in job advertisements.
The defendants dispute the plaintiff's claims and contend they have not violated any law. They agreed to the settlement to avoid the uncertainty, risk, and expense of continued litigation, without admitting any wrongdoing. The court has not decided whether the defendants violated the law. The case is pending before Judge David Whedbee in King County Superior Court, which granted preliminary approval on May 21, 2026 and authorized the Settlement Administrator, Angeion Group, to issue notice and claim forms.

Who Qualifies?
You are a Settlement Class Member if, from January 1, 2023 through May 21, 2026 (the date of preliminary approval), you applied for a job opening in the State of Washington with one or more of the defendants — T-Mobile USA, Inc.; T-Mobile Central LLC; T-Mobile Financial LLC; T-Mobile Leasing LLC; T-Mobile Resources LLC; or T-Mobile West LLC — through a job posted on one or more of the defendants' websites or an authorized third-party recruiting platform, where the job posting did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and a general description of the benefits and other compensation, and you did not sign an arbitration agreement with one or more of the defendants.
The notice lists an estimated settlement payment of $1,487.82. All Settlement Class Members who submit a timely, valid claim form are eligible to receive an equal share of the Net Settlement Fund — the money that remains after the court approves attorneys' fees (requested at $630,563), costs and expenses (up to $16,750), and a service award for the class representative (requested at $20,000), all paid from the $2,137,500 Maximum Settlement Fund. Because the final amount depends on the number of valid claims and the amounts the court ultimately approves, the exact per-person payment cannot be stated precisely in advance.
According to the notice, settlement payments will be characterized as non-wage statutory damages and reported on a Form 1099. OpenClassActions.com does not provide tax advice; for questions about how a settlement payment affects your taxes, contact the IRS or a qualified tax professional.
How to File a Claim
To receive a payment, you must submit a claim form. This settlement is not automatic — you have to file. There are three ways to do it, and every method requires the Claim ID and PIN printed on your personalized notice:
• Online: Visit the official settlement website and log in with your Claim ID and PIN.
• By mail or email: Complete the paper claim form you received and return it to the Settlement Administrator, postmarked no later than September 8, 2026.
You do not need receipts or other documentation, but the administrator-issued Claim ID and PIN function as proof of class membership, so you cannot file without them. If you believe you are a class member but did not receive a notice — or you lost your Claim ID and PIN — use the contact page on the official settlement website to reach the Settlement Administrator, Angeion Group, and request your codes. Claims are subject to a verification process, and the administrator may ask for supplemental information before a claim is considered complete and valid.

Your Options: File, Do Nothing, Exclude, or Object
File a claim — this is the only way to receive a payment. Submit your claim online, or by mail or email, postmarked no later than September 8, 2026.
Do nothing — you stay in the Settlement Class but receive no payment, and you give up the right to sue the defendants over the claims resolved in this case (the release described in the settlement agreement).
Exclude yourself — if you want to keep the right to sue the defendants separately over these claims, you can opt out by mailing a signed exclusion request to the Settlement Administrator, postmarked no later than September 8, 2026. If you exclude yourself, you will not receive a payment and will not be bound by the settlement.
Object — if you stay in the class but disagree with the settlement, you can file a written objection with King County Superior Court, and mail copies to Class Counsel and Defendants' Counsel, no later than September 8, 2026. You may also ask to speak at the Final Approval Hearing. Full instructions and the required contents of a claim form, exclusion request, or objection are in the official notice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who qualifies for the T-Mobile Washington job postings settlement?
You are in the Settlement Class if, from January 1, 2023 through May 21, 2026, you applied for a job opening in Washington State with one or more of the T-Mobile defendants (T-Mobile USA, T-Mobile Central, T-Mobile Financial, T-Mobile Leasing, T-Mobile Resources, or T-Mobile West) through a job posted on their websites or an authorized third-party recruiting platform, where the posting did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and a general description of benefits and other compensation, and you did not sign an arbitration agreement with any defendant.
How much is the estimated payment?
The notice lists an estimated payment of $1,487.82. All class members who submit a timely, valid claim share the Net Settlement Fund equally, so the final per-person amount depends on the number of valid claims and the amounts the court approves for fees, costs, and the service award. Payments are characterized as non-wage statutory damages and reported on a Form 1099.
Do I need proof or a code to file a claim?
Yes. To file, you must enter the Claim ID and PIN printed on the personalized notice you received in the mail or by email. You do not need receipts or other documentation, but the administrator-issued Claim ID and PIN are required to submit a claim online, by mail, or by email. If you lost your notice, use the contact page on the official settlement website to request your codes.
What is the deadline to file a claim?
Claim forms must be submitted online, or mailed or emailed and postmarked, no later than September 8, 2026. Claim forms submitted or postmarked after that date will not be valid and will not result in a payment. September 8, 2026 is also the deadline to exclude yourself or object.
When will payments be sent?
The Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. If the court approves the settlement, checks are mailed to eligible class members who filed valid claims after any appeals and reviews are completed. Checks expire and become void 120 days after the date they are issued.
