What Changed Recently?

Yellow Social Interactive Ltd. (YSI), which operates the sweepstakes-style social casino sites Pulsz and Pulsz Bingo, settled a class action in the Circuit Court of Franklin County, Alabama, titled Robinson v. Yellow Social Interactive, LTD., Case No. 33-CV-2025-900072.00. The settlement resolves lawsuits and arbitrations filed since 2022 in which players alleged that buying virtual coins in the games amounted to illegal gambling and that players could recover their losses under the gambling laws of Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, New Jersey and Massachusetts. The parties signed the settlement agreement in December 2025, and the settlement website is now accepting elections.

YSI denies all of the claims, denies that its games are gambling under any state's law, and agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of further litigation. The court has not decided who would have won.

Who Qualifies?

The class covers people who spent money to play Pulsz or Pulsz Bingo while in one of six states during that state's class period: Location is determined from YSI's records, such as billing address or IP address information, rather than where a player lives now. Judges on the case and their families, YSI and its affiliates and their officers, directors and employees, and anyone who opts out are excluded. Accounts that YSI closed for fraud or other Terms of Service violations receive nothing, and the purchases and redemptions on those accounts are left out of the settlement.

How Much Can You Get?

Both options are calculated from each player's own Net Purchase Amount: the money spent on Pulsz or Pulsz Bingo during the class period minus that player's successful prize redemptions on the same site. A player who bought $300 and redeemed $200 in prizes has a Net Purchase Amount of $100; a player whose redemptions exceed purchases has a Net Purchase Amount of zero and is not eligible to elect cash. Both amounts are reduced by the player's share of the attorneys' fee award, administration costs and incentive awards. Class Counsel has agreed to request no more than 30% of the settlement amount plus expenses, and each of the six named plaintiffs will ask for no more than $10,000. As an illustration only, a Net Purchase Amount of $100 would produce about $23 in cash or about $27 worth of Gold Coins (270,000 coins) before those deductions, which the court has not yet set.

Cash is capped. All cash elections together cannot exceed 25% of the Estimated Total Benefit, which the settlement agreement puts at approximately $14 million; if elections exceed the cap, each cash payment is reduced proportionally and the difference is paid in Gold Coins. A player who elects cash but does not complete YSI's identity verification receives Gold Coins instead. Money left in the fund after all payments is returned to YSI.

The court-approved notice says the Gold Coins arrive in installments over two or five years depending on the amount; the settlement agreement itself allowed YSI to spread delivery over up to 12 months. Gold Coins have no cash value and cannot be redeemed or transferred. Separately, YSI agreed to keep a responsible-gaming page, a self-exclusion policy and a way to keep playing the free Gold Coin games without buying more.

Players in Alabama, New Jersey and Tennessee

YSI has already stopped offering Pulsz in Alabama, New Jersey and Tennessee, and accounts there are treated as dormant. A dormant account that is owed Gold Coins is reopened with a zero balance for the sole purpose of playing the awarded coins, for at least 60 days; it cannot buy coins, receive Sweeps Coins or enter sweepstakes games, and an account left inactive for 60 days or more can be closed with any coins still in it. Earlier balances, loyalty status and unpaid redemption requests are not restored. Players who closed their own accounts through self-exclusion can receive only the cash benefit.

What Proof or Notice ID Is Required?

No receipts are required, and no filing is needed for the Gold Coins. The cash election is a different matter. The online election form opens only with the Settlement Claim ID printed in the settlement notice.

The paper election form has no Claim ID field. It asks for: Every cash election is also subject to YSI's user-verification process. Players who have not already completed YSI's identity verification must supply the information it requires, and a player who fails verification receives Gold Coins instead of cash. If a timely election form is incomplete, the administrator can allow up to 28 days after the deadline to supply the missing information.

What Is the Deadline?

The election deadline is November 30, 2026. Online elections must be submitted by 11:59:59 p.m. CST that day; paper election forms must be postmarked by November 30, 2026. The same date is the deadline to opt out or to file an objection.

How Do You Take Action?

The Gold Coins require no filing. Cash elections are made through the official election form, which asks for the Settlement Claim ID before collecting contact details, eligibility information and a payment choice. A paper election form can be requested through the official settlement website.

A class member who opts out receives neither coins nor cash but keeps any right to sue YSI individually. The written exclusion request must include the class member's name, phone number, mailing address, email address, the Player IDs or User IDs and email addresses tied to their Pulsz or Pulsz Bingo accounts, and an ink signature, and it must be sent by November 30, 2026 to the address on the settlement website. Exclusion requests cannot be filed in bulk on behalf of others.

What Happens Next?

Class Counsel must file its request for attorneys' fees by November 16, 2026. Judge Brian P. Hamilton will hold the final approval hearing on December 31, 2026 in the Franklin County Circuit Court in Russellville, Alabama. If the settlement is approved and any appeals are resolved, approved cash elections are to be paid within 60 days of the settlement's effective date. Checks expire 90 days after they are issued, and an uncashed check or a failed electronic payment is converted into Gold Coins.

Questions

Can Pulsz settlement Gold Coins be cashed out?

No. The settlement agreement describes Virtual Gold Coins as non-redeemable and non-transferable with no cash value; they are for playing the free-to-play games. Accounts in states where Pulsz has stopped operating are reactivated only to play the awarded Gold Coins and cannot receive Sweeps Coins or enter sweepstakes games. Class members who want money instead must file a cash election by November 30, 2026.

What happens to Pulsz players in Alabama, New Jersey and Tennessee?

Yellow Social Interactive has already withdrawn Pulsz from Alabama, New Jersey and Tennessee, so accounts there are treated as dormant. A dormant account entitled to Gold Coins is reopened only so the player can use those coins, for at least 60 days; an account inactive for 60 days or more can then be closed with any remaining coins. Players in those states can elect cash instead of coins.

Can a Pulsz player elect cash without a Settlement Claim ID?

The online election form requires the Settlement Claim ID from the settlement notice. The paper election form does not have a Claim ID field; it asks for name, contact details, the Customer ID for each Pulsz and Pulsz Bingo account, every email address linked to those accounts and a signature, and it must be postmarked by November 30, 2026. Paper forms can be requested through the official settlement website.

Does the Pulsz settlement affect the Apple, Google, Facebook or Amazon social casino cases?

No. The settlement agreement states that the release has no effect on the separate cases against Apple, Google, Facebook and Amazon over social casino-style games, and that those companies are not parties to this settlement.

What do Pulsz class members agree to by staying in the settlement?

Class members who stay in release their claims against Yellow Social Interactive over the Pulsz games, including claims that would otherwise go to arbitration. They also stipulate that, while the game changes required by the settlement remain in place, virtual coins in Pulsz and Pulsz Bingo are gameplay enhancements rather than a thing of value under the six states' gambling laws. Players who want to keep those claims must exclude themselves by November 30, 2026.
