What's This About?
The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) had previously been sued by a nonprofit organization to release data related to the effects of vaccinations in the United States.
The CDC used a smartphone app dubbed "V-Safe" for vaccine safety, which collected metrics and data on around 10 million people who either took a primary series of vaccines or booster vaccine shots. ICAN, the nonprofit successfully sued the CDC to release the data tracked by the v-safe, which is kept in databases by Oracle, a company that functions as a contractor for the government and the CDC. The suit was filed after ICAN, the nonprofit, filed a Freedom of Information Act request (called "FOIA") unsuccessfully for release of data.
