How Much Are Claimants Getting?

The settlement website does not list a per-person amount. Each valid claim receives a pro rata share of the net settlement fund, which is what remains of the $3,743,600 after court-approved attorneys’ fees and expenses, a service award and administration costs.

Claimants have reported emails about a $48.36 payment that ask them to choose how to receive it by January 27, 2027. OpenClassActions.com has not been able to confirm that amount or that deadline with the administrator, and neither appears on the settlement website. Any payment email should point back to the official settlement website, DUHSSettlement.com, and no legitimate settlement charges a fee to release a payment.

Who Was Covered?

The settlement class was people in the United States who logged into the Duke MyChart patient portal or the MyDuke Health mobile app between February 18, 2019 and June 17, 2022. The lawsuit alleged that tracking technology on Duke Health’s website, including the Meta Pixel, sent personal or health-related information to a vendor when patients used the site. Only class members who filed a claim by August 16, 2026 are being paid.

The opt-out and objection deadline was July 20, 2026. The full case history is on OCA’s Duke MyChart settlement page.
