Macy's Second-Round Payments Have Started

Claimants who filed valid and timely claim forms in the $10.5 million Macy's CVC sheets class action settlement are reporting second-round payments. Many are seeing $2.50 top-up payments, consistent with the settlement's provision for a follow-on distribution when funds remain after the first payout.

These supplemental payments are going to class members who were already paid in the initial distribution, after fees and costs. Amounts can vary based on the settlement's formulas and the number of approved claims.

Why Payments Are Going Out Now

The Court granted final approval of the settlement in May 2024. The settlement agreement permits a second distribution to paid class members if funds remain after the first round and it is economically feasible to distribute again. That process follows completion of claim review, payment of fees and costs, and reconciliation of uncashed or failed payments.

Who Was Eligible

The class includes customers who purchased one or more CVC sheets supplied by AQ Textiles from a Macy's store in the United States or Guam, or on macys.com, between November 8, 2013 and March 24, 2023. Macy's denies wrongdoing.

How Payments Are Sent

Payments may be issued electronically or by paper check. Second-round funds typically follow the method used in the first round when possible. If an electronic wallet or account is closed, the funds return to the administrator for reissue.

I Did Not See My Money Yet

Distribution is staged. If you were paid in the first round but do not see a second payment yet, give it time. Check the inbox associated with your claim and the mailbox for any paper check. If you have questions, use the official contact options on the settlement website listed below.

Where to Check for Your Macy's Settlement Email

If you think you should have received a payment email, search your inbox for “Macy's CVC Sheets Settlement” or your original claim notice. Check spam or junk folders, and Gmail Promotions or Updates tabs.

If you still do not see the notice, visit the settlement website's Contact Us page and request assistance. The administrator will not ask for your banking login or any fee to release your funds.

How Do I Find Class Action Settlements?

Find all the latest class actions you can qualify for by getting notified of new lawsuits as soon as they are open to claims:

Are Paper Checks Being Sent and What Is the Timeline

Yes, paper checks are part of the Macy's distribution. Electronic payments are often processed first. Checks take longer due to printing and mailing. If your address changed since filing your claim, contact the administrator through the official website to update your mailing address and prevent returned mail.

Do I Get a Second Chance if My Payment Fails

If an electronic payment fails, the funds return to the administrator. You should receive a follow-up email giving you the chance to update your payment details or request a paper check. If you do not respond within the stated window, a paper check may be mailed to the address on your claim.

Common Payment Questions

My digital payment failed

If your wallet or bank rejects the deposit, the administrator will attempt a reissue after you update your details. You can also request a paper check through the official contact form.

Can I still file a claim

No. The claim deadline passed in 2024. This update concerns distribution to approved claimants.

How were amounts determined

The settlement set $2.50 without proof per household and paid out up to $7.50, subject to pro rata. A second distribution is permitted if funds remain and a follow-on payout is feasible.

Which products qualified

CVC sheets supplied by AQ Textiles and sold by Macy's in-store or online during the class period.

Case Background

The lawsuit alleged that certain CVC sheets were falsely labeled with inflated thread counts. Macy's agreed to a $10,500,000 settlement and denies wrongdoing. The Court granted final approval in May 2024.

Official Notices

The settlement website confirms eligibility, deadlines, and documents. The settlement agreement includes a provision for a second distribution to previously paid class members when funds remain and distribution is feasible.

Why am I only getting $2.50?

The $2.50 amount is the second-round supplemental payment for claimants who already received an initial distribution. Settlement rules allowed for a follow-on distribution when leftover funds remained after the first payments, fees, and administrative costs.

Can I still file a claim?

No. The deadline to file a claim in the Macy’s CVC Sheets Settlement passed on November 9, 2024. These payments are only for people who filed timely and valid claims.

How were amounts determined?

The original settlement provided up to $7.50 per unit without proof of purchase, capped per household. Final payouts were adjusted pro rata depending on the number of claims. The second distribution is a small top-up for those who already qualified.

How do I know if I was paid?

Check the payment method you selected on your claim form. Many claimants are receiving Venmo, PayPal, or direct deposit notifications. Paper checks are also being mailed in some cases.

What if my Venmo or PayPal account is closed?

If your digital payment fails, the funds are returned to the settlement administrator. A follow-up notice will usually be sent giving you the chance to update your payment method or request a paper check. If you do not respond, a check may be mailed to the address on file.

Are paper checks being sent?

Yes. If you selected a paper check, you may receive it later than those who chose electronic options. Checks take longer because of printing and mailing.

Do I get another chance if I missed this round?

No. Only claimants who filed valid claims before the deadline are included. This second distribution is the final payment under the Macy’s settlement agreement.
