Vornado Air, LLC, of Andover, Kansas, is recalling about 255,000 SRTH Small Room Tower Heaters. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall (number 26-532) on June 4, 2026. The heaters were sold at stores nationwide — including Costco, Kohl's, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Ace Hardware — and online at Vornado.com and Amazon.com from August 2013 through May 2026 for between $40 and $50.The recalled heaters were sold in black and white and measure about 12.5 inches high by 6 inches in diameter. They have two heat settings (low and high) plus a fan-only/no-heat setting. The word "Vornado" with a "V" behind it is printed on the front of the unit, and the model marking "TYPE SRTH" is printed on the silver rating label located on the bottom of the product.
Why Are the Heaters Being Recalled?
The recalled heater's fan blade can detach from the motor shaft. When that happens, the fan can slow down or stop, which causes the enclosure and internal parts to overheat and melt.
